The festival will be running for 23 nights from March 25 until June 16.

Other major light installations have also been set up in Barangaroo, Chartswood, Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, Kings Cross, Luna Park, Taronga Zoo, The Rocks, Royal Botanical Garden and the Sydney city surrounds for the event.

The sails of the Sydney Opera House are featuring the work of Australian artist Jonathan Zawada in a display called Metamathemagical.

Vivid 2018 will also feature musical performances from various artists around the city.

The festival’s Ideas program will include talks by NASA’s visual strategist and Director of the Museum of Awe, Dan Goods and many more.
