When Netflix decided to cancel three of the popular Marvel shows, Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, the fans of the shows were not only disappointed but heartbroken. Thankfully, there is a slight ray of hope for such fans because a recent interview has highlighted that Disney might plan to revive canceled marvel shows once again.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, a Disney executive responsible for Disney+, a streaming service by Disney, Kevin Mayer said that he might consider reviving the canceled Marvel shows. Though he mentioned that there were no discussions regarding this, the revival might be a possibility. He even called the shows to be very high quality. If the possibility becomes a reality, the Marvel fans across the globe will cheer their heroes Iron Fist, Luke Cage and Daredevil who will live to fight again. The representatives of Netflix declined to comment on this matter.

In the earlier days, the relationship between Netflix and Disney was cordial because, since 2016, Netflix has been a preferred destination to watch Disney’s movies if you had the subscription. Things changed when Disney decided to launch a streaming device and focus on Disney+ was increased. Now, the relationship between Disney and Netflix seems to be turning sour as, after this year, most of the Disney shows and movies will no longer appear on Netflix.

A report suggests that Disney’s hope of reviving canceled Marvel shows might not become a reality because Disney+ might be prohibited to plan any revivals till 2020.

The viewers won’t lose out on much entertainment because Netflix is planning successive seasons of Defenders series, The Punisher, and Jessica Jones. Disney, on the other hand, is gearing up for a live-action Marvel series starring Tom Hiddleston that will focus on Avengers character Loki. Disney is also planning a Star Wars TV series named as The Mandalorian and a Star Wars Rogue One prequel TV series that stars Diego Luna.

If the plans created by Netflix and Disney are implemented, the Marvel fans would have much more entertainment waiting for them than Captain Marvel or Avengers: Endgame.
