YouTube is now back online after experiencing technical difficulties earlier today. Users around the world have been reporting issues trying to access the online video sharing platform.
Thousands of user reports on the website began flooding in at the website status monitor DownDetector. at around 10.45am AEDT.
YouTube confirmed the technical issue and said it was working to fix the problem.
“If you’re having trouble watching videos on YouTube right now, you’re not alone – our team is aware of the issue and working on a fix. We’ll follow up here with any updates,” Google said in a statement.

At around 1.15pm the company confirmed it was back online.
