Good things come to those who wait. It has been proved once again as the people who wanted to see the Snyder Cut version of Justice League and promoted the popular hashtag #ReleaseTheSnyderCut have finally gotten the results of their efforts. Snyder himself has confirmed that his version of the Justice League will soon be released on HBO Max. Here’s the how and when of it.
After directing Man of Steel that was released in 2013 and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice that released in 2016, Snyder was working on Justice League. The production was midway when tragedy stuck the Snyders and their daughter, Autumn lost her life to suicide.
As expected, Snyder quit his duty of the Director and Joss Whedon, the Avengers’ director took his place. The Justice League that was released in 2017 was the result of both their efforts. However, the fans didn’t like that film. It garnered negative reviews and disappointing box office numbers.
Sometime later, the fans started wondering what the Snyder Cut looked like and the popular hashtag #ReleaseTheSnyderCut became popular. It became so popular that even Snyder and WB’s top management heard of it. WB Chairman Toby Emmerich called Snyder and said “This is real. People out there want it. Would you guys ever consider doing something?”
After many meetings regarding the Snyder Cut, Snyder has officially announced that it will be released soon. Even HBO Max has said via a press release that Snyder Cut will be released in 2021. Talking about it, Snyder said “I want to thank HBO Max and Warner Brothers for this brave gesture of supporting artists and allowing their true visions to be realized. Also, a special thank you to all of those involved in the ‘SnyderCut’ movement for making this a reality.”

Snyder will work with post-production crew and will use about 20-30 (about AUD 30-45) million USD to polish Snyder Cut and ensure that every character from Wonder Woman to The Batman comes to life again.
As some actors are not available for reshoots, like Ben Affleck won’t put the batsuit again, finishing off Snyder Cut logically will be a challenge for the director. We will see the fruits of his result probably as a several episode mini-series that will be released in 2021 on HBO Max.
