ELON MUSK SHARES THE FIRST GLIMPSE OF THE NEW TESLA BERLIN GIGAFACTORY
THE GIGA BERLIN IS SCHEDULED TO OPEN IN JULY 2021.
Elon Musk likes to show off his achievements. He did it again today by sharing the first glimpse of the Tesla Gigafactory in Berlin via Twitter. There’s no doubt about the fact that this beauty is worth all the attention it got in the Twittersphere.

The rendering shared by Elon Musk shows Giga Berlin that is under construction at the moment outside the capital of Germany. The Gigafactory will soon be a monolithic masterpiece, and it might include an amazing rooftop rave space.

Writing about that, Elon Musk said, “Might be an indoor/outdoor rave space on the roof.” In March, the Tesla CEO had initiated a poll and asked people whether this Gigafactory should have a mega rave cave. Over 90 per cent of Twitter users voted with a yes. It was probably enough to convince Elon Musk.

In addition to the rave cave, the Gigafactory might also have a rooftop terrace and pool, a water feature that is located out front as well as several Tesla Semis waiting in the wings. The plant will also likely be powered by several solar plants. When one Twitter user highlighted that the Gigafactory had no chimneys, Elon Musk replied that they were “carefully hidden.”

Elon Musk announced the plans for this Gigafactory in November 2019, but it hit several roadblocks like a tussle with local environmentalists and regulators and the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Once complete, the factory will be the first full vehicle factory in entire Europe. The production will probably begin by July 2021 with the launch of highly anticipated Model Y. So, Musk has one year to make things happen!
In addition to the progress on the Gigafactory, Elon Musk has another reason to celebrate. Tesla’s shares have skyrocketed in recent weeks thanks to various factors like setting up new factories in Berlin and Texas, stock’s possible inclusion in the reputed S&P index, and thousands of new investors from online brokerage Robinhood. The valuation of Musk’s car company touched the high figure of USD 1,760 (about AUD 2,516) this week. Impressive, right?
