HERE’S THE LIST OF THE TOP 10 MOST WATCHED NETFLIX ORIGINAL MOVIES

Netflix has revealed its biggest blockbusters for the first time.

Right now, the media services provider, Netflix, is slowly revealing its numbers.

The entertainment streaming company went ahead of its second quarter earnings call on Thursday, it released a list of its 10 most watched Netflix original movies to Bloomberg. The reported totals are based on the number of accounts that hit play in the first four weeks of the movie’s debut. In previous metrics that was released, the company counted a “viewer” as anyone who watched at least two minutes of the movie, though it’s not clear if the list provided to Bloomberg uses the same measuring method.

Topping off the list of the most watched Netflix original movies is last quarter’s Extraction, starring Chris Hemsworth, with 2018’s apocalyptic shocker Bird Box coming in second.

The most watched Netflix original movies is clustered with action movies, with Netflix giant Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston comedy Murder Mystery joining the top 5 and Martin Scorsese’s mafia drama, The Irishman, coming in right after.

Most of the top-viewed Netflix original movies come from the past few years, which actually make sense given a surge in Netflix viewership. As theaters around the world remain closed and movie production only begins to ramp up again, it’s likely that Netflix numbers will continue to climb.
