Chris Hemsworth, who is well-known for playing the God of Thunder- Thor in the MCU, is ready to play an iconic real-life inspired character now. The Aussie actor will play the lead in The Hulk Hogan biopic that’s in the scripting stage at the moment. Netflix has got exclusive rights to the story, and Hulk Hogan or Terry Gene Bollea would be a consultant.

The Chris Hemsworth starrer will feature Hogan’s early years in the sport. The journey will begin with the 1970s stint that he had with the Florida Wrestling Circuit. Then it would carry on to the time in the 1980s when Hogan became the face of the World Wrestling Federation. He was so popular in WWF all over the world that his fans started calling themselves as Hulkamaniacs in 1984.

Those fans seem extremely happy with the idea of Chris Hemsworth playing the popular personality’s role. Some fans even posted a fan art that depicted how the transformation of Chris Hemsworth to Hulk would look like.

The 36-year-old actor also told Total Film: “This movie is going to be a really fun project. As you can imagine, the preparation for the role will be insanely physical.

“I will have to put on more size than I ever have before, even more than I put on for Thor.”

And it’s not just the physical transformation, Chris Hemsworth added: “There is the accent as well as the physicality and the attitude.

“I will also have to do a deep dive into the rabbit hole of the wrestling world, which I’m really looking forward to doing.”

Talking about that wrestler makeover, Chris Hemsworth stated that it’ll be ‘fun to see’ him as the famous wrestler – ‘blonde, half balding and donning that unforgettable Hulk Hogan ‘tache’.

However, he also revealed that the Netflix biopic is still ‘quite away a way away’.

Talking about the script during Extraction promotions, Chris Hemsworth told Screen Rant, “Look, I haven’t read a script yet. I know it’s being written now and worked on. I know very little about that. It’s sort of in the process now.”

He also added that he is fascinated by the wrestling world, Chris Hemsworth added, “I’m just fascinated by that world, and I think they’re pretty keen to show a side of the world that people haven’t seen before. I’m as intrigued as you are.”

John Pollono and Scott Silver are writing the screenplay for the Hulk Hogan film, and Todd Phillips will direct it. Hulk believes that Chris Hemsworth might win an Academy Award for the film.

After doing films like Thor and Extraction, building his body for playing Hulk Hogan would not be a problem for an already swole actor. Chris Hemsworth is known for building his body for the roles he plays on the screen. Netflix is yet to announce when the filming for the film will begin.
