SPLINTER CELL – UBISOFT

Splinter Cell will return in a new form According to reportsNetflix and Ubisoft are partnering to develop an animated adaptation of  Tom Clancy‘s Splinter Cell.

Already receiving a two-season, 16-episode order of Splinter Cell from the streaming platform, John Wick’s creator Derek Kolstad has signed on as an executive producer and writer. Although not much is known about the Netflix animated series project, it is expected to follow author Tom Clancy’s source material closely.

Originating as part of a Ubisoft-Clancy licensing deal, Splinter Cell‘s debut in 2002 introduced gamers to a new level of intricate stealth gameplay centered around protagonist, U. S. Navy Seal Sam Fisher, who is recruited to work for the fictional Third Echelon division of the very real National Security Agency (NSA). Following a number of sequels, a film adaptation starring Tom hardy was announced in 2017, but no developments about the Splinter Cell film has come out since.
