NETFLIX RELEASES THE OFFICIAL TRAILER OF THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY SEASON 2

THE HARGREEVES SIBLINGS GET STUCK IN THE 60’S

 

Netflix has finally released a trailer for its upcoming superhero series The Umbrella Academy season 2. After the end of the first season, the superpowered Hargreeves siblings have escaped the total annihilation of the planet using Five’s ability to jump time and individually landed between 1960 and 1963. There’s a catch though (there’s always a catch, innit?). They have found out that they have brought the apocalypse along with them.

 

The Umbrella Academy season 2 trailer below showcases the Hargreeves in the past as they attempt to reunite. However, some siblings have created new lives while the others are having a hard time adapting to their settings. The Umbrella Academy season 2 trailer shows Five and the rest of the Hargreeves are wondering what caused the apocalypse to follow them through time, how they can stop the doomsday from happening, and how to time travel back to the present day and prevent it from happening then as well.

 

 

Umbrella Academy season 2’s trailer features new soundtrack by Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance, who alongside comic book artist Gabriel Ba, who created the comic book where the series is inspired by. The new track is aptly titled ‘Here Comes the End.’

 

“I was originally inspired to write this track when series one of The Umbrella Academy was being shot,” Way stated to Entertainment Weekly. “By the time I finished it 2020 was in full swing, the world had taken a profound turn and the song was finished in a surreal new reality.”

 

The cast of the first season of the superhero series included Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, Aidan Gallagher, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Cameron Britton, and Mary J. Blige, most of whom are expected to come back in season 2. View the recap of the first season below.
