THE ADIDAS X JONAH HILL SUPERSTAR SNEAKERS ARE DROPPING THIS WEEKEND

THIS SPECIAL EDITION IS JONAH HILL’S OWN TAKE OF THE SILHOUETTE

Jonah Hill‘s much-awaited adidas Originals Superstar sneaker collaboration is finally releasing this coming weekend. The multi-hyphenate’s partnership with the Adidas was officially announced in January of 2020, reports state that the partnership will be working on two Samba sneakers and one Superstar.

 

The adidas Originals Superstar collaboration channels a chunky skateboarding design, delving into Hill’s love for the culture. Explaining about his inspiration, Jonah Hill said, “I started thinking back to all the experiences I had growing up while wearing [Superstars], and tried to make my fantasy version of what I would have wanted when I first wore them.” Jonah Hill, who wrote and directed the coming-of-age skate culture film, Mid90s, features a bold and pronounced Three Stripes on the mid-panels paired with thick laces — which pays homage to the B-Boy culture of the ’80s as well as in skateboard culture.

 

The sneaker is designed with a white full-grain leather upper, resting atop an off -white rubber sole. Additional features include Jonah Hill’s initials and “Superstar” embossed stitching in Jonah’s handwriting, and an embroidery of a lion on the back of the tongue, similar to one of his tattoos.

The Jonah Hill x adidas Originals Superstar will release on 11 July 12:00 AM AEST at adidas.com.au and retailers around the world. The special edition Superstars will cost $210 AUD.
