A new variant of the Ford GT was launched recently, and it certainly catch the attention of all the auto lovers. The 2021 Ford GT edition was announced over the weekend to celebrate the Automaker’s victory at Daytona in 1966. It was the company’s first in a major endurance race. The number 98 Ford GT40 had led that race and was driven by Lloyd Ruby and Ken Miles.

The 2021 Ford GT was revealed as a part of Petersen Car Week that was hosted by Peterson Museum. After having a look at the car, it’s clear that the GT Heritage Edition has the same hardware like a 660 hp GT. It has a Frozen White paint which is similar to the car that was driven by Ruby and Miles. The sporty livery, which is the first to offer a Heritage edition colour scheme that is not derived from a Le Mans race has an exposed carbon-fibre hood that has asymmetrical Race Red accents present on the driver side door, front fascia, roof edge and underneath the rear wing. It also has a gumball that has number 98 on the sides.

The interior of the 2021 Ford GT is mostly in black Alcantara suede. The only exceptions are anodized red paddle shifters and red Alcantara suede performance seats. Other amazing details of the 2021 Ford GT are Heritage Gold Wheels and red lacquered Brembo Monoblock brake callipers.

In addition to 2021 Ford GT, Ford also announced the release of limited-edition GT Studio Collection. It would be an exclusive sports car with just 40 vehicles and will be available in one among seven different customized colour combinations.
