A lot of time and effort goes into the production of any car, but not most of them will be as historically and culturally significant as the legendary Ford GT40. And now, one of the five prototypes used during testing, could be yours thanks to Duncan Hamilton Rofgo.

As portrayed in 2019’s Ford v Ferrari film, the Ford GT40 is the brainchild of Ford, who was determined to compete against the Italian luxury sportscars manufacturer, Ferrari, at the Le Mans 24-hour race, a race the latter company had dominated. Ford won and also became the first American car manufacturer ever to take the victory home. The current Ford GT40 prototype, with chassis number GT/105, is what made all that happen. It was developed as a test car, only three Ford GT40 sportscars remain existing in the world. The other two cars are now permanently held in the Shelby Heritage Center in Las Vegas to comemmorate its milestone and history. The dealer claims, despite being a test car, this Ford GT40 prototype is in impeccable shape and has never been damaged, supported by documentation of ownership. Power-wise, it’s still fitted with the original 289 cubic-inch V8 and a ZF gearbox, making it a truly historical piece.
