Not just fans, but many known stars from the hit Netflix series also appeared at the event. In specific, the stars from Bridgerton, Money Heist, and Stranger Things were present at the Tudum event.
Other than announcements of series renewal, the Tudum event also announced the premiere dates. Furthermore, the co-hosts of the Tudum event, Lilly Singh, Caleb McLaughlin, Nicolo Coughlin, and Finn Wolfhard, also shed light on creator panels, hosted cast, and some behind the scenes content.
Globally, Netflix has up to 209 million subscriptions. So, the streaming platform is certainly expanding its space. And of course, its expansion has resulted in a streaming war between platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and HBO Max.
Interestingly, the Tudum event is named after the opening sound on all Netflix shows. Though, this is not the first time this event is being held. It was first held in Brazil in January 2020. Later that year, the second Tudum event was organized online due to the ongoing pandemic.
This year, the Tudum event has gone global. The announcement about The Witcher renewal was among the most noteworthy ones at the Tudum event. Not only that, but a new teaser of Stranger Things by Netflix was also displayed at the event. Other than that, a teaser of the upcoming feature film, Extraction 2, was also revealed.
We also got to see the first look of the Red Notice, which casts Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot, and Dwayne Johnson. The film is expected to do big business because it has some high-profile stars playing amazing roles in a thrilling setting.
Similarly, the Tudum event also revealed the first look of The Sandman based on the comic books by Neil Gaiman.
