It seems that nothing, even the bid to buy Twitter for $44 billion and the Bear Market, would stop Elon Musk from becoming the world’s first trillionaire. This was stated in a report shared by software company Tipalti Approve.

The report predicted that Elon Musk, whose current net worth is $263 billion, will pass the $1 trillion mark by 2024. The current net worth of the Tesla CEO is equal to the entire GDP of the Czech Republic, a European country with a population of 10.7 million, says data from the World Bank.

When he reaches becomes a trillionaire, Musk’s wealth will surpass the entire GDP of the Netherlands. The world’s current GDP is valued at U84.75 trillion. So, a person who reaches the trillionaire status will have a net worth which is 1.17% of the entire world’s GDP.

 

 

In addition to Musk, the report also highlighted some other rich people who have a chance to reach the trillionaire status. It mentioned that 21 of the 30 richest people in the world today realistically have a chance to become a trillionaire at some point in their lifetimes.

Here is a list of other potential trillionaires who might be a year or a few years behind Musk in reaching the coveted status.

 

Gautam Adani (2025)

The Gautam Adani & family would be a year behind Musk as Adani will reach the trillionaire status in 2025 at age 62 if his current growth rate continues. He is the chairman of the commodity trading business Adani Group.

 

Zhang Yiming (2026)

Another rich person following Musk to become a trillionaire in 2026 will be Zhang Yiming, the chairman and founder of Beijing ByteDance Technology Co.

 

Mukesh Ambani (2029)

Ambani will also become one of the world’s first trillionaires at age 64 in 2029. He is the chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), a multinational conglomerate.

 

Bernard Arnault (2029)

Bernard Arnault, the chairman, and chief executive of the world’s largest luxury goods company, Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH), will reach trillionaire status at age 72 in 2029.
