Mercedes has recently unveiled the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance, which is probably the most power-packed car of the brand. The E in the name indicates that this Mercedes- AMG will be the first plug-in hybrid. It will also make the GT 4-Door line-up trickier.

Like other vehicles in the GT line-up, it differs amazing power. The new Mercedes-AMG 63 S E has 620 kW on tap and comes with over 1400 Nm of torque. Thanks to these number, we can surely say that this packs more power than any other four-door sports sedan by the marque. The weight of the new Mercedes-AMG GT is 2086 KG, and it can achieve a 0-100km sprint in just 2.9 seconds.

To make the latest car in the GT line-up, Mercedes’ engineering team had to work in conjunction with the Mercedes-AMG Formula 1 engine shop in the UK. Both the teams worked hard to create the impressively powerful yet lightweight battery pack.

The new Mercedes-AMG GT will join the drive models that are already available. The available drive modes are Comfort, Sport, Race, Sport Plus and Slippery and they are available on the GT 53 and GT 63 models.

The GT 63 S E will have an AMG Ride Control plus that includes an adaptive suspension with an air damping system. A person can adjust the suspension settings from the drive modes individually or let it automatically adjust depending on the mode. Mercedes said that the engineers have increased the spread between comfort and sportiness on Mercedes-AMG.

Though there are not many visual changes on this model as compared to the traditional GT 63, you can still see some changes easily. The front bumper has borrowed cues from the GT coupe and the charging port which is located on the rear bumper easily blends into the sheet metal just below the taillights. The customers can also pick from new 20- and 21-inch wheel options.
