Many people were introduced to the awesomeness of South Korea’s entertainment potential only after Parasite got immense success at the Oscars this year. Real entertainment buffs know that South Korea’s entertainment potential has always been significant. One of the iconic films by South Korea is the Zombie horror film, Train to Busan. It gained immense attention in 2016, and now Peninsula trailer, another movie set in the same world has been released.

The director of Peninsula has stressed on the fact that the movie is not a sequel to Train to Busan but is set in the same world, four years later. He said, “Peninsula is not a sequel to Train to Busan because it’s not a continuation of the story, but it happens in the same universe.” But Peninsula trailer will make you doubt that.

The official synopsis of Peninsula reads: “Peninsula takes place four years after the outbreak of zombies that were chasing protagonists on a train speeding south to Busan. The Korean Peninsula is devastated and Jung-seok, a former soldier who has managed to escape overseas, is given a mission to go back and unexpectedly meets up with survivors.”

Peninsula trailer also shows that the film will revolve around a former soldier who finds some unattacked survivors and forms a group to prevent Zombie attacks. Train to Busan’s story revolved around a businessman and his daughter travelling in a train that’s attacked by Zombies. They must unite to reach their destination safely.

Despite the release of Peninsula trailer, there is no official release date for the movie yet. It was expected that the film would have its world premiere at Cannes this year just like Train to Busan did in the past.

Though the Peninsula trailer is interesting enough, people who get stressed easily should avoid it. Seeing multiple deaths at the hands of zombies and the aftermath of a zombie attack is not a wise thing to do at a time when the coronavirus pandemic is killing innocent people every day. It is the kind of negativity that might impact your mind and lead to unwanted stress.
