Russia Lists Australia as an 'Unfriendly' Country
The Kremlin has added Australia to its list of taking ‘unfriendly actions’ against Russia.

As Russia continues its unprovoked invasion of Ukraine, it listed Australia as an “unfriendly” country among 50 others. Ria Novosti, a media outlet from Russia, recently tweeted names of the countries that are on Putin’s hit list. This list was approved by the Russian government on Monday.

“Unfriendy” countries list of Russia.

Currently, the countries present in the unfriendly list include Australia, Andorra, the United Kingdom, including Anguilla, Canada, Iceland, Monaco, Micronesia, Norway, New Zealand, the US, Ukraine, Switzerland, Japan, Montenegro, Singapore, Norway, Gibraltar, EU member states, and others.

However, this does not mean that residents of Australia have to worry about war. Indeed, the decree issued by the kremlin is a very bold step. However, it certainly does not mean that Russia will attack all the countries present in this list.

Since Russia began its invasion of Ukraine, the value of the Russian currency has been going downhill. Though, interestingly, Russia has decided that it will be the first one to create a list of unfriendly nations. Trade opportunities and new businesses have also suffered since they have been halted.

Despite the ongoing restrictions, some companies have managed to protest Russia by pulling arrangement and their services. For instance, major companies such as Visa, Mastercard, BP, Disney, Warner Bros, Netflix, and TikTok have been halted in Russian regions.

According to the cabinet in Russia, the rules of finances with international businesses will change now. This shall help improve the financial stability within Russia, as the country continues to deal with sanctions and trade restrictions.

As of yet, the Australian government has not added anything regarding Putin. On the other hand, Tass, a News Agency in Russia believes that countries who have set up sanctions are the “unfriendly” countries, and it totally makes sense.

According to the cabinet of Russia, foreign business rules have undergone a transformation. While the Australian government has not made any comments yet, Prime Minister Scott Morrison has called on China for help and pressure on Russia to end this war.

Regarding this, he told the ABC, “No country will have a bigger impact on concluding this terrible war in Ukraine than China.”
