Russian electric car company Aviar has unveiled the R67 prototype— a fully electric muscle car that combines the body and styling of a 1967 Ford Mustang fastback built atop  Tesla’s Model S.

Being fully electric, the 1967 Ford Mustang features Tesla’s battery, electric motors, gearboxes, electrical suspension elements, power cables, and all other electronics, which sit underneath and inside a brawny custom composite and aluminum body that replicates the classic Ford Mustang design having the pleasing lines, the memorable silhouette and the iconic grille, though the badge that features the galloping horse has been replaced with the Aviar logo.

The Aviar R67 prototype comes with 840 HP (626 kW), hitting zero to 100 in just 2.2 seconds, reaching a top speed of 250 km/h, and has a range of up to 507km. Combined with all-wheel-drive, anti-lock disc brakes, and a host of modern technological features of a Tesla, this Ford Mustang could serve as model for the future of reviving old cars

As it’s based on Tesla’s Model S, the Aviar R67 also features Tesla’s autopilot system and it is compatible with Tesla Supercharge stations around the world. Inside the chic minimalistic cabin, you’ll find a 17-inch touch screen that serves as the Aviar R67’s infotainment system that can control everything from the climate control to the customised seven-speaker audio system, access the navigation systems, and show you driving information such as the reversing camera display.
