Thor: Love and Thunder Trailer Shows The Villain Gorr The God Butcher

The latest Thor: Love & Thunder trailer has dropped, the next MCU Phase 4 movie starring Chris Hemsworth & Natalie Portman.

The latest and longer trailer of Thor: Love and Thunder has been unveiled. It gives a better glimpse at the storyline, the characters, and the special effects used in creating the film. But one thing that has caught everyone’s attention is the scary Christian Bale’s villain Gorr. This will be Chris Hemsworth’s fourth solo outing as Thor and will see the return of Natalie Portman as Jane Foster and Mighty Thor.

Chris Pratt and his Guardians of the Galaxy will also make an appearance in the film. Tessa Thompson will also reprise her role of Valkyrie, and director Taika Waititi will also return as Korg. Russell Crowe will star as Zeus, and Christian Bale will star as scary villain Gorr the God Butcher.

Like the first Thor: Love and Thunder trailer, this one also shows the titular character on a journey of self-exploration. He would try to find his true self but will face many obstacles like Gorr, Greek Gods, and even his former lover. The trailer begins with Korg telling a story about Thor living his life post the events of Avengers: Endgame.

The look of Gorr is particularly worthy of attention in the Thor: Love and Thunder trailer as he looks quite terrifying. He also clarifies that he aims to eliminate every god that ever existed. He is drenched in inky blacks and an ashy grey that sinisterly highlights his creepy yellow glare. It also shows him destroying the planet and battling both Thor and Valkyrie.

The jam-packed Thor: Love and Thunder trailer also reveals the first look at Russell Crowe’s Zeus. It also highlights several of Thor’s adventures in what we presume is Olympus.

The trailer of Thor: Love and Thunder also has a fun Waititi moment as Thor is unceremoniously disrobed in front of a slew of Olympians. As expected, their reactions are hilarious. This new trailer also shows Thor and Jane interacting for the first time since their breakup (with Thor remembering the exact time they last met) and Thor getting shocked and impressed to see her wielding Mjolnir mid-battle. Thor: Love and Thunder will be released in Australia on 7^th July 2022.
