Porsche Macan T is one of the lightest sports cars that will be available in Australia in mid-2022. The Macan SUV is one of the most popular models of the brand. Though it costs slightly more than the entry-level variant, it has many useful variants that car lovers will probably cherish. Read on to know what else is special about this vehicle.

According to Porsche, the T badge represents an “authentic driving experience thanks to precise tuning, exclusive equipment, and efficient engines.” In other words, the car is lightweight and has sharper dynamics as compared to the entry-level versions of the brand’s models.

The Porsche Macan T costs $6700 more than the entry-level four-cylinder Macan variant but is worth it because of several dynamic and visual upgrades like stiffer anti-roll bars and revised suspension tuning to ensure agile handling.

It has Porsche Active Suspension Management adaptive coil-spring suspension, which is standard but has a 15mm lower ride height than standard models. It also has adaptive air suspension available as an option, which reduces the body by a further 10mm. It is also a first for a four-cylinder Macan.

Customers of the Macan T can pick Torque vectoring that has returned just for this car. Also, the all-wheel-drive system now shifts more power to the rear axle than it ever did before. The visual upgrades of this Porsche Touring SUV include mirror caps, Agate Grey Metallic front trim, rear spoiler and badging, side blades, gloss black exhaust tips, and window surrounds. It also has black Macan T decals on the doors, 20-inch Macan S wheels finished in Dark Titanium, and 13 available colours.

Inside the Porsche Macan T, one can find Porsche crest headrest embossing, eight-way electric front seats with heating black leather upholstery, the Sport Chrono package, a heated GT leather sports steering wheel, and exceptional Macan T-branded sill plates. A person can also choose a Macan T with Sport-Tex inserts for the front and rear seat centres and silver stitching present across the headrests, seats, and steering wheel.

The Porsche Macan T is powered by an entry-level 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine of the Macan range. It can send 195kW and 400Nm to all four wheels thanks to a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The deliveries of Porsche Macan T in Australia are expected to begin by the middle of this year. Orders can now be placed. A Macan T will cost $91,500 (excluding on-road costs).
