Avatar: The Way of Water Final Trailer Shows RDA’s Assault on the Water Tribe
The final Avatar: The Way of Water trailer reveals one last full look at the sequel before it debuts in theatres next month.
The third and final trailer of Avatar: The Way of Water has been released. It gives glimpses of RDA’s epic assault on the Metkayina clan. Written and directed again by James Cameron, this new Avatar will follow Jake and Neytiri’s Na’vi family as they protect themselves from several dangers on Pandora.
Two trailers of Avatar: The Way of Water have been released previously. The third and final one was released during Monday Night Football. The official Avatar YouTube channel later shared it.
In the first Avatar, the focus was on Jake’s introduction to the Oamticaya clan that lived in the forest. Now, in Avatar: The Way of Water, the focus will be on the water-dwelling people of Pandora. The water tribe is the Metkayina clan. The trailer shows that the Sully family is seeking refuge away from the Resources Development Administration.
In the first Avatar, the mining operation was introduced, and now it is back again. Even this time, Colonel Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang) will lead the security forces. Though Neytiri killed the character in the first Avatar, he was brought back to life by the RDA by becoming a Recombinant. It is an avatar embedded with the memories of a human soldier. Hence, Quaritch remembers Jake siding with the Na’vi in the first film. He will now seek revenge against Jake and his family.
After releasing the trailer of Avatar: The Way of Water, the ticket sale has also started. The original film is also back on Disney+ after its successful theatrical re-release. A new and somewhat creepy Snapchat filter has also been released. There is also an Amazon Alexa integration where if you say, “Alexa, enable ‘Avatar’ theme,” a whole bunch of stuff will unlock. Another thing you can say is, “Alexa, teach me Na’vi,” and unfold another adventure.
Avatar: The Way of Water will star Zoe Saldaña, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Kate Winslet, and Stephen Lang. It opens in Australian theatres on December 16. Another Avatar film is also planned. It will probably release on December 20, 2024.
