Drake’s new music video for ‘Toosie Slide’ was recently released. As well as highlighting the rapper’s particular preference for marble floors and sculptures by KAWS, it also proved once more that money is not a thing for Drizzy when it comes to copping grails (check out his Patek Philippe flex here.)

The “Riot Riot Riot” Camo bomber worn by Drake in ‘Toosie Slide’ is an statement piece from Raf Simons’ highly praised Fall/ Winter 2001 collection. The FW01 show was considered a milestone in menswear history after the epic comeback of  Simons to the fahion industry following a one-year leave. He then embarked on shaking up the status quo of slim-fit suiting with street style culture’s oversized silhouettes, hoodies, and ‘Scumbro’ youthful looks.

The piece is designed from an oversized Fortex bomber jacket with patches featuring David Bowie, Richy Edwards from the Manic Street Preachers, and a Bauhaus poster. Notable for foreshadowing an obsession with subcultural iconic figures that would inform the rest of Raf Simons designs for years to come, the covetable bomber jacket was valued $47,000 (A$78,400) on Grailed in 2018. It’s been rocked by the likes of Kanye West, who wore it for weeks back in 2007.

In the ‘Toosie Slide’ music video, Drake styles the jacket with a buckled piece from 1017 ALYX 9SM’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection that gets mentioned in the lyrics, along with Michael Jackson and Nike.
