Uniqlo is known for collaborating with big brands and iconic characters like the Mickey Mouse and Shonen Jump manga franchise. It recently grabbed headlines thanks to the famous Uniqlo X Star Wars collaboration. Now, it has created ripples again thanks to the unique Uniqlo x KAWS collection that was announced a few days back. Fans are overexcited about the collaboration, and it was demonstrated in China, where the demand for products led to havoc. What happened exactly? Read on to know!

The Uniqlo x KAWS collection is different than other collaborations like Bape X Avengers: Endgame because this time, the focus is on beloved characters that are created by the widely popular Brooklyn-based artist. He teased the latest collection with the Japanese manufacturer by taking the help of social media. The collection is available to kids and adults alike and includes a line-up of t-shirts that are printed by easily recognizable artwork of the 45-year-old artist.

Fans can’t get enough of the pictures, and if you like looking at them too, you might have noticed that one of the designs of the Uniqlo x KAWS collection has a companion holding a tiny and pink BFF. Another style that catches the attention is an all over graphic that reminds you of the recent KAWS: HOLIDAY installation, which was displayed in Hong Kong.

The Uniqlo x KAWS collection also had an unexpected response in China. As the collection was released in the country, hosts of fans lined up outside the shops even before the shops had opened. Everyone wanted to get their hands on the limited edition Uniqlo x KAWS collection.

Things turned bad when the shop opened as the shoppers began running towards the products. They violently shoved each other aside and tried different tug of war tactics to ensure that they bought one or more products from the Uniqlo x KAWS collection.

Though this madness for unique products like the Uniqlo x KAWS collection is not unheard of, it is a bit irritating to see that fans are willing to harm each other just to get a t-shirt. Well, we suppose that’s what we call brand power.
