Elon Musk has got a great sense of humour, and no one can deny it. Like every successful entrepreneur, he also knows how to laugh at his mistakes before fixing them. He has proven it once again by making the fun of the Tesla Cybertruck launch blunder in an iconic way. He has launched a “bulletproof” t-shirt.

For those who are unaware of the events at the Cybertruck launch in November, Tesla made a huge blunder that day. Tesla claimed that the armoured glass of the windows of the Tesla Cybertruck were unbreakable, but they shattered during the live demonstration. It created a meme fest across the internet. Elon Musk has made the most of the iconic moment by launching a t-shirt that’s referencing that moment.

The t-shirt by Tesla is known as Cybertruck Bulletproof tee. The website of Tesla says that the launch blunder inspired the t-shirt. Even the design makes it clear. The t-shirt has a graphic that shows a smashed glass on the front. The Cybertruck icon is placed on the back of the t-shirt. Costing USD 45 (about AUD 65), the t-shirt will likely be shipped in two weeks.

Elon Musk, the Twitter-happy CEO introduced the t-shirt on Twitter by claiming that the t-shirt is “bulletproof” and can “make you buff”. The bulletproof bit is another joke as Tesla website confirms its 100% cotton and has no bulletproof material.

Though the blunder during the Cybertruck launch led to loads of memes, it didn’t impact the enthusiasm for the futuristic vehicle. A few days after the event, Elon Musk tweeted that the company had gotten 250,000 pre-orders for Tesla Cybertruck whose cost begins from USD 39,900 (about AUD 57,855).

In addition to making fun of the blunder via the t-shirt, Elon Musk and his top guys are also working on fixing the mistake. Tesla had stated that the breaking of glass was due to structural weakening that occurred when Franz von Holzhausen (in-charge of design at Tesla) conducted sledgehammer blasts at the door below.
