Here’s Everything You Must Know About The Valorant Closed Beta Debut
The closed beta launch had 1.6M viewers on Twitch
Valorant, Riot Games’ upcoming game in which Overwatch meets Counter-Strike, launched closed beta recently. There were some glitches, but most of the people who participated seemed to be happy. Here’s everything you need to know about Valorant Closed Beta.
Before initiating Valorant Closed Beta, the Executive Producer of the company Anna Donlon had stated that it would be limited to only a few regions of the world due to the impact of COVID-19. She said “Our plan was to bring the Valorant closed beta to as many players around the world as quickly as possible, but the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted those plans, compromising a wider global rollout. For now, we have to focus on the regions where we feel most ready, with more regions following in the months to come.”
Prior to the launch of Valorant Closed Beta, the prospective players were given detailed instructions. Riot Games said that they need to link the Riot Games and Twitch accounts to be eligible for Valorant Closed Beta. The developer explained, “When closed beta activates in your region, watch specific Valorant streams highlighted on Twitch for the opportunity to be entitled for closed beta access.”
Though Aussies didn’t get to be a part of Valorant Closed Beta, it is possible that the game will launch during the winters, if things get back to normal soon and humans find a cure for the deadly coronavirus or control it.
