Watch Chris Hemsworth as a Deadly Mercenary in the Extraction Trailer
It’s might be the biggest action movie this season
Chris Hemsworth is coming up with something interesting, and it isn’t related to the MCU. The actor will star in an action flick, Extraction that will air on Netflix. The Extraction trailer was released recently, and it’s good enough to get people hooked.
After getting popular as Thor in Marvel films, Chris Hemsworth is playing the role of Tyler Rake, a black-market mercenary who has some personal demons to take care of. The Extraction trailer shows him fighting off those demons, jumping from a cliff and even spending time at the bottom of a lake.
The Extraction trailer also shows Chris Hemsworth beating people in hand to hand combat. In the first fight, viewers see the Aussie actor throwing a guy into a brick wall. The Extraction trailer also shows that Chris Hemsworth is not alone. One of his allies is played by Golshifteh Farahani, who is concerned with his personal demons and professional threats. Towards the end of the trailer, she uses a rocket launcher which means that she will get to be in some action as well.
The mission of Chris Hemsworth’s character is clear from the Extraction trailer- he needs to extract the kidnapped son of a crime lord (who is imprisoned and has scores of enemies). What’s most touching about the Extraction trailer is that Chris Hemsworth will connect with his target and will eventually be saved by the kid by developing a personal bond with him.
Chris Hemsworth is not the only MCU connection in the Extraction trailer. Viewers can also see David Harbour (who also stars in Black Widow) as one of the enemies of the actor. The film is helmed by Russo Brothers whose credits include iconic films like Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
One thing that catches attention in the Extraction trailer is that Chris Hemsworth’s character does take a few hits and gets bloody. The audience will probably love this vulnerability of the character as they did with Indiana Jones or John McClane. The film will be released on Friday, 24 April 2020.
