Katherine Langford in 13 Reasons Why

The deleted Avengers: Endgame scene featuring Katherine Langford made its way to Disney+ as it started earlier in November. However, fans have been questioning why the scene got deleted in the first place.

In this regard, Katherine Langford, the 13 Reasons Why star has opened up regarding why her scene was not present in Avengers: Endgame. In ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’, the actress said, “It’s a weird thing because… you’re just perpetually terrified that you’re going to spoil something.”

She further said, “I mean, I’m such a huge fan of the Marvel films and the Russo brothers, so when Marvel reached out to me to play Iron Man’s daughter, that was such an honour. And ultimately it didn’t make it into the film, and creatively, like, that makes sense and that’s totally fine. I was just content with having the memory in my head.”

Previously, Anthony Russo and Joe have talked about why they decided to cut the Avengers: Endgame scene. According to both of the directors, the scene was quite confusing for the audience. Furthermore, they also added that they did not really feel emotionally inclined towards the adult daughter of Iron Man. This was all the reason for removing it from the movie.

Furthermore, Christopher Markus, the co-writer of The Avengers: Endgame has a similar stance. He told Variety earlier in 2019 that the scene was taking away from the ending’s pace.

Earlier though, there were a lot of rumours that Katherine Langford would make an appearance in Avengers: Endgame (which obviously, never happened). So, fans simply assumed that she will be a part of Hawkeye by Disney+ later. However, it is all clear now.

With that, Avengers: Endgame can be streamed on Disney+ now and it also features a number of additional scenes that were deleted. These include an extended scene where Black Widow and Hawkeye get attacked, Mantis assuming that Gamora is like a zombie, and a scene in which the entire squad of heroes is making a plan for the final battle. Nevertheless, there is no curiosity revolving around the deleted scenes anymore, at least.
