Hold Your Breath – A Quiet Place 2 Teaser is Finally Here

The struggles of the Abbott family are not coming to an end. After fighting for their lives in A Quiet Place in 2018, they are still running for their lives in A Quiet Place 2 teaser. The highly anticipated sequel is expected to hit the theatres on March 20, 2020.

 

The teaser for A Quiet Place 2 was recently released by Paramount Pictures and is guaranteed to make you hold your breath. The story continues where the first one ended. After the death of Lee (Played by John Krasinski), Evelyn (played by Emily Blunt) can be seen silently treading through the woods. Her two kids (played by Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds) are in tow.

In the teaser of A Quiet Place 2, Evelyn has a bandage wrapped around her foot, which clearly indicates that it’s in continuity with the first film. In the first film, she had injured her foot by stepping up on a nail and was nearly killed by a bunch of blind extra-terrestrials.

 

A Quiet Place was a huge box office success as it earned USD 340 million (about AUD 495 million) worldwide. It also got several award nominations and won the award for Best Sci/Horror movie at the Critics’ Choice Awards. Even Stephen King appreciated it. As a result, the expectations from A Quiet Place 2 are quite high!

The cast of A Quiet Place 2 has expanded to include Djimon Hounsou and Cillian Murphy. The official trailer will be released on New Year’s Day.

 

Talking about the film, its Director John Krasinki earlier said “Most sequels are about a villain returning or a hero returning, and you have to build this entire world around just the idea that I have a hero or a villain. That’s a lot, and I think that’s where a lot of sequels go wrong, because as much as you love that hero or villain, the entire thing is fabricated just to make that person work.”

 

He also said “[With A Quiet Place 2], we have the world. So it’s actually the world that’s built, it’s the idea that the rest of the world is going through this exact same experience. Are there other people that have to survive like this? It’s that idea of living through the set of circumstances, not again in the same way obviously, but exploring it more. You only got to do it intimately for a small amount of time, so what happens next?”

In essence, the half-minute teaser of A Quiet Place 2 is exciting, breathtakingly terrifying and worth a watch. The film is Executive Produced by Aaron Janus, Allyson Seeger and Joann Perritano. The producers are Andrew Form, Michael Bay, John Krasinski and Brad Fuller.
