Kanye West Announces Yeezy Clog Would be Made from Algae

Kayne West knows how to grab the headlines and be the talk of the town (international news) for weeks. After the launch of Jesus is King collection, the popular personality is now focusing on creating sustainable shoes that would include Algae. Sounds strange but it is an attempt to reduce the carbon footprint and have a sustainable future. Read on to know more about this new development.

During the 3^rd day of the Fast Company Innovation Festival, Kayne West took the stage with Yeezy Head Sneaker Designer Steve Smith. They discussed the ongoing transformation of Yeezy. West mentioned that the Yeezy headquarters would be moved to a 4,000-acre ranch in Wyoming. It will have a hydroponic farm. The plans to create its own foam from algae were also shared.

 

This initiative by Kayne West and Yeezy might help clean waterways, protect drinking water and wildlife as it will eliminate fossil fuels that are generally used in the traditional production of foam. Appreciating Kayne West’s efforts, Steven Smith said “Eco-concerns are intersecting with what we do, this is just the beginning of the future that Kanye envisioned for us to start working on.”

Kayne West also revealed the latest development on alternatives to harmful dyes. He added that the shoes in his hand were made in Atlanta.

 

The Adidas Yeezy Foam Runner might be priced around 110 AUD and could release in early 2020. The focus on Algae shoes by Kayne West has proved that while 2019 was about wild designs of cool shoes, 2020 would focus on decreasing the carbon footprint without compromising on the quality and focusing on sustainability.
