Lotus has launched three variants of its electric car, the Eletre. The first is the standard Eletre, the second is Eletre S, and the third is Eletre R. They will go on sale in 2024. Though each Lotus Eletre offers decent performance, the range-topping variant will be a genuine hyper-SUV.

The first two versions are Lotus Eletre and Eletre S. They have a dual-motor powertrain. One motor is situated on the first axle, and the second is on the back.

The most premium version, the Eletre R or the hyper-SUV, will have 893 hp (905 PS / 675 kW) and 727 lb-ft (985 Nm) power. It will go from zero to 62 mph (or 100 km/h) in just 2.95 seconds. It will have a top speed of 165 mph (265 km/h), and a driving range of 304 miles (490 km) thanks to a 112 kWh battery.

The Urus Performante, one of Eletre’s competition can only produce 657 hp (666 PS). It can reach 62 mph in just 3.3 seconds and cost £209,000 (€218,487 in Italy). It also has a top speed of 190 mph (306 km/h).

Charging from 10-80 percent will take just 20 minutes in all three variants of Lotus Eletre if they are connected to a rapid charger.

The base Eletre variants will come with five drive modes, torque vectoring, active air suspension, matrix LED headlights, and 22-inch, 10-spoke forged wheels. They will also have wireless phone charging, four-zone climate control, 12-way electric seats, a 1,380 W 15-speaker KEF HiFi, and LIDAR tech that might help people enjoy autonomous driving if and when regulations allow it.

Lotus has revealed how much its first SUV will cost when it launches in the home country. The Lotus Eletre will start at £89,500 (about $102,745) while the Eletre S will start at £104,500 ($119,964). Also, the Eletre R will start at £120,000 ($137,758) in the UK. Australian pricing and release details are yet to be revealed. The new variants will be built in a state-of-the-art Geely-owned factory in Wuhan, China. The Lotus Eletre variants will come with a five-year, 100,000-mile (161,000 km) warranty.
