McLaren has unveiled the all-new McLaren 765LT Spider Convertible, which can reach a high speed of up to 330km/h. It is a minimalistic speed machine that is clearly designed to achieve track dominance but also has some fun factors. It was unveiled by the British automaker on Tuesday. It is the fastest drop-top from the brand till now.

The McLaren 765LT Spider Convertible is not very different from its hard-top counterparts as it has a one-piece carbon roof panel. It allowed the designers of the British brand to hold on to the bold and flowing shape of the 765LT Spider Convertible. The roof is quite easy to use as it can lower or rise in about 11 seconds. You can also operate it at 50 km per hour speed.

Car lovers would probably be pleased to know that the McLaren 765LT Spider Convertible comes with more headroom as compared to the base model. It is true even when the top of the car is up. The retractable roof increases the car’s weight by about 49 kgs, and a buyer will need to pay extra for a sound system or an air conditioning system.

The mid-mounted 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine sends 563kW and 800Nm to the rear wheels by using a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. It allows the 1388kg vehicle to get from 0 to 100km/h in just 2.8 seconds. As mentioned earlier, the 765LT Spider Convertible has a top speed of 330km/h. When aiming for the highest speed, we recommend that you ensure that the top is up.

The McLaren 765LT Spider Convertible cost starts at £310,500 (about AU$590,000) in the United Kingdom. There is no word yet on the Australian release and price. Only 765 examples of the supercar will be built, so you better hurry if you want to order this baby. This vehicle is a better way to start prepping for Summer 2022.
