Prada and Adidas are Doing a Sneaker Collaboration

This just got out. Earlier, exciting news came from our Instagram feeds. Luxury Italian label Prada is working with one of the leading brands in sportswear, Adidas. Prada and Adidas posted simultaneously to their IG accounts (prada, adidas and adidasoriginals) in a strategic, triple-pronged campaign for mass marketing.
The same picture was posted by each brand: a white Prada carrier shopping bag with two Adidas boxes protruding from the top. Adidas Originals was represented by the blue box while the black one was representing the main line of the sportswear brand, Adidas. It’s quite obvious that the teaser photo of the collab was pertaining to footwear.
Each post included the words “coming soon,” bearing a #Pradaforadidas hashtag, and a adidas.com/prada weblink also included. Click on the link and you will be taken to a web page where shoppers can leave their email addresses. It says, “The journey begins soon. Sign up to stay in the know.”
According to the Py-Leaks on Twitter, a reliable source for its insider scoops on sneaker industry news, the collab will feature two sneakers called ‘Adidas Prada Sailing’ which will drop in two colorways, white/silver and red and will be priced $350 USD.
However, fans and sneakerheads quickly developed their own name for the new collaboration, dubbing it #Pradidas in comments section of the posts of the brands. We’ll keep you posted on the Prada and Adidas collaboration updates as soon as we get them.
