Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse — Sony Unveils Trailer of the Sequel

Sony is all set to bring Miles Morales back for another action-riddled Spider-Man movie. The film is a sequel to the animated hit from 2018, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. However, this time, the film will be divided into two parts. And the first part is to be released on the 7th of October 2022 here in Australia.

The first look that Sony has just unveiled is more like a whole scene from the film, with some trailer-like reel. The trailer features Miles Morales listening to a Post Malone track in his bedroom (the same track which he is seen singing along in the first movie).

Suddenly, we see Spider-Gwen show up for a small talk about how Miles could help her with something. Unfortunately, though, Miles is grounded.

After that, the trailer leaps into 2099, where Spider-Man 2099 belongs to. And just like the comics, the 2099 world has an entirely different look. In fact, it might be nothing like what fans have seen in the first film. Featuring 2D static spaces, the 2099 world is indeed unique.

After a full delay of five months, Sony is indeed headed in the right direction. The marketing push seems to have just the right momentum. First, we get an official title of the movie with the trailer. But with that, fans also know that Miguel O’Hara, aka Spider-Man 2099, is going to have a big role in the upcoming movie.

However, it is not confirmed whether other characters from the Spider-Verse are going to be featured in the film. However, since the film is titled Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, one can predict that the sequel might feature more than a single world.

But that is not all. Reportedly, Sony is also developing an all-female movie revolving around the Spider-Verse. So, Spider-Man fans really have a lot of content to look forward to. However, the all-female movie may not show up until the Across the Spider-Verse concludes by Part 2. For now, no release date has been given for part 2 of the sequel, but the first part of Across the Spider-Verse will be here in less than a year.
