The last tweet by Chadwick Boseman, revealing that the world had lost the talented actor, has just become Twitter’s most liked post: a black and white portrait of Boseman with a statement confirming his death as a result of a four-year battle with colon cancer.

Twitter released a statement and noted how “fans are coming together on Twitter to celebrate the life of Chadwick Boseman, and the tweet sent from his account last night is now the most-liked tweet of all time on Twitter.” The social media giant gave the recognition on its own account, with the caption reading: “Most liked Tweet ever. A tribute fit for a King. #WakandaForever.”

Currently, Chadwick Boseman’s tweet has over six and a half million likes on the social media platform, surpassing the 2017 Nelson Mandela quote tweet of Barack Obama that garnered four million likes. Twitter has also brought back the “Black Panther” emoji in honour of the late star.
