The Rumoured Extra Episode of Tiger King will be on Netflix

The rumored extra episode of the breakout Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness is now a fact.

A follow-up installment hosted by Joel McHale called The Tiger King and I, which is set to debut 12 April on Netflix.

In this aftershow, McHale interviews a number of people featured in Tiger King, including Jeff and Lauren Lowe, Joshua Dial, John Reinke, John Finlay, Kelci Saffery, Erik Cowie, and Rick Kirkham on what’s happened since filming took place and how their lives have changed since the debut of the series, which has drawn massive audiences to Netflix.

The news came a few days after Jeff Lowe, one of the show’s figures, told Justin Turner of the Los Angeles Dodgers player via Cameo video message that another episode would shown on Netflix. Turner and his spouse, Kourtney, had tackled the show on an episode of her podcast.

Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness has been a breakout hit for the streaming platform. The documentary series had an average viewership of 19 million people in the U.S. few days of its release, according to figures provided by Nielsen, and more than 34 million subscribers watched at least a few minutes of the show. Tiger King’s ratings, likely boosted by more people being home due to self isolations at this time, rival those of the previous seasons of Stranger Things, one of the Netflix’s biggest series.

Netflix’s Tiger King aftershow is also set to beat two other programs looking to piggyback on the Tiger King hype. Fox is scheduled to air a  TMZ-produced special about the show this coming Monday, and the cable network ID is producing its own series later in the year.
