Turn 20 Days of Annual Leave into 52 Days of Holidays in 2022
Your annual leave sorted out.

Some people want growth and career enhancement in 2022, while others want to maximize their R&R time. If you belong to the latter and want to transform 20 days of annual leave into 52 days of holidays in 2022, here is a leave calendar that could help. The method we are sharing will help you understand how to take your annual leave around the same time and public holidays and get multiple mini-vacations throughout 2022. Sounds good? Read on to know more.

We’ll begin the count from January 1st, so today, Monday, January 3rd, is observed as New Year’s Day. As 1st and 2nd are Saturday and Sunday, you get a free mini-vacation of 3 days without using any annual leaves. Quite obvious, really.

If you use four annual leaves in the back half of January, you can get nine days holiday from January 22nd to January 30th. Two of them are Saturdays and Sundays, while Wednesday, January 26th, is Australia Day.

Then in April, you can use 12 annual leave days to take a long holiday of 23 days. It will start on April 9th and end on May 1st. You will get three public holidays in that period, April 15th is Good Friday, April 18th is Easter Monday, and April 25th is Anzac Day.

You can also get a mini holiday of 4 days by taking one day of annual leave in June. June 13th is a public holiday as it’s the Queen’s birthday. So, you can get four days from June 10th to 13.

Depending on where you live you’ve also got a three-day Labour Day weekend sometime this year – so just pop that in Google to check the dates for your respective states for that.

Christmas and New Year’s of 2022 also present you with an opportunity to have a long holiday of 10 days from December 24th to January 2nd, 2023. It begins on a Saturday, December 24th. You have Monday and Tuesday off as Christmas Day and Boxing Day will be observed on those days. Then, January 2nd will be a public holiday as the new year is on a Sunday, January 1st, 2023. You need to use three days of annual leave here.
