It has been six decades since Aston Martin was seen in Formula 1 races. Now, the carmaker is returning with Cognizant and a stylish new AMR21 racer. This F1 racer is among the most important cars in the 108-year history of the carmaker. The vehicle will make its debut at the Bahrain Grand Prix later this month.

The marque’s  AMR21 will be the first Formula 1 car that will participate in Formula 1 since Maurice Trintignant’s DBR5, a famous vehicle that crossed the finish line at Silverstone in the year 1960. Four-time champion Sebastian Vettel will pilot the car along with youngster Lance Stoll. This team will be competing against Mercedes-AMG Petronas’s Lewis Hamilton.

As all the Formula 1 cars look similar due to specific build requirements, but the Aston Martin Cognizant F1 Team racer will be easy to recognize as it will be the only racer that will carry a British Racing Green livery during this season. The new AMR21 will also feature the global partner logos, Crypto.com and Peroni, during the competition. It will also have a flowing magenta stripe which usually runs along the side of the chassis as well as the bottom of the front wing.

In addition to lifting the trophy, the car manufacturer is hoping that the AMR21 will demonstrate its engineering and performance capabilities to the world during the F1 race. The company is also planning to open a 200,000 square foot facility that will be operational in 2022 and complement the existing Formula 1 factory.

The CEO of Aston Martin, Tobias Moers, said, “Today is a truly historic moment for Aston Martin, as we return to the pinnacle of motorsport for the first time in more than 60 years. The Aston Martin Cognizant Formula 1 Team will have far-reaching positive effects on the Aston Martin brand, our culture, and the design and technology of Aston Martin road cars.”

The arrival of Aston Martin in Formula 1 after a long gap was welcomed by James Bond, who said he was thrilled and appreciated by Tom Brady, the seven-time Super Bowl Champion.
