Be Ready for More! The Boys Spin-Off Series Has Been Fast-Tracked
The Boys

The spin-off series of The Boys from Amazon has officially been fast-tracked, and it will receive an R-rated treatment now. The series is an irreverent and fun take on what happens when some superheroes who are revered as gods, influential as politicians and as popular as celebrities abuse their superpowers.

It focuses on pitching the powerful against the powerless. The Boys embark on a quest to expose the reality about The Seven and Vought. This multibillion-dollar conglomerate not only manages the superheroes but also covers up their dirty secrets.

Amazon is releasing weekly episodes of The Boys currently and the finale of the present season will be aired on October 9, 2020. The latest season of the series was the most-watched global launch ever of an Amazon original series. Data shared by Amazon revealed that the episodes of The Boys to date have grown in audience by a 89 per cent since the first season of the series was released. So, it is obvious that the spin-off series is fast-tracked.

The spin-off series of The Boys will not just join the main series. It will also have The Boys after show which will be hosted by Aisha Tyler. Entertainment buffs also know that the season 3 of The Boys got an early renewal ahead of the release of the second season.

As per SVOD Content Ratings of Nielsen that measure only US viewing, the first season of The Boys average about 4.1 million viewers for each episode during the first ten days of the release. It must be noted here that the first season of the series was released all at once, not weekly (like the current season).

After the news of the pending spin-off, as well as the success of The Boys, broke, Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen and Sony Pictures TV confirmed it on Twitter. Kripke even thanked the fans for the success.

All in all, The Boys seems to be a good watch for the audience and a success for Amazon. The fast-tracking of the spin-off is good news for everyone!
