However, the drama did not end there. Even after the fight was over, the fighters kept exchanging verbal barbs. With that, Conor McGregor threatened to take matters outside. To keep the tensions low, Poirier’s team kept holding him back.

While the clash did not escalate further, Conor McGregor screamed from the top of his lungs, “This is not over.” At the same time, Poirier walked away with a 2-1, as a doctor stopped the fight after its 1st round.

Poirier added that McGregor had his leg “fractured” when he checked a kick earlier without taking proper aim. This happened before things went sour between Poirier and McGregor.

Right before beginning the interview with Rogan, Poirier said, “Shut your b**** a** up.” Furthermore, he also suggested that whatever happened is karma for Conor McGregor, who is “a dirtbag.”

On the other hand, Conor McGregor watched everything from the canvas and decided to have a word before leaving for the hospital. According to Dana White (UFC boss), Conor McGregor will undergo surgery now.

As Poirier headed outside the cage, McGregor was fuming that he ended up suffering from an injury. He shouted, “Your wife is in my DMs, hey baby, hit me back and we’ll chat to you later on.”

Regarding the entire clash, Dana White agrees that the rivalry is not over, even though the Trilogy has ended. Regarding this, White stated, “You can’t have a fight finish that way. We’ll see how this whole thing plays out.” Though, it might take some time for Conor to be ready for another fight.
