A Bugatti enthusiast, Muhammad Al Qawi Zamani, recently outlined how much it costs to maintain and service a Bugatti Chiron. The short answer is that you need about half a million every four years or so to keep the limited-edition hyper car all shiny and new.

According to the Singapore-based car enthusiast, the additional costs of maintaining the Bugatti Chiron start around the 14-month mark. By this time, the technicians will need to replace the oil filter car’s oil and drainage pipes. It will cost about $34,292.

After 14 to 16 months of owning the Bugatti Chiron, you will need to change the lightweight rims of the car swapped. It will cost approximately $68,585. When you hit the 16 to 18 months mark, you will need to replace the tires if you use the car regularly. It will cost anywhere from $10,973, for which you will get a set of Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3s to about $57,612, which you need to pay if you want to purchase the track-friendly Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2Rs that are developed specifically for the Chiron Pur Sport.

You will also need to pay a hefty amount for the regular servicing costs of the Bugatti Chiron. For instance, replacing the front carbon-ceramic brakes and 3-D-printed callipers will cost around $80,933. If you opt for cleaning of the brake components and replacement of fluid and cables, it will double the costs.

After 28 to 42 months, you will need to change the W16 engine’s Garrett quad turbochargers, and it will cost you $35,664 for a set of four. If you want new air duct coolers, you need to pay $30,178. You also need to pay $60,355 for a new reinforced fuel tank and around $39,231 for a full-engine retuning and recalibration.

If you need a new windscreen for a Bugatti Chiron, you will need to pay $82,302, and if you want to purchase wiper blades, you will have to pay $5212. To retouch the finish of the car, you will need to spend about $75,711. It is costly as it can be done only by hand and by using special equipment.

The best way to lower the high maintenance costs of Bugatti Chiron, you need to sign up for Bugatti’s very own Passeport Tranquillité program. It will cost about $94,041 over four years and will offer full service for your car. It also includes one annual visit to an official Bugatti service partner, roadside support, and a special car care kit with cleaning and detailing materials. So, this program is very cost-effective, and you should certainly go for it.
