House of the Dragon: Official Photos of the GoT Prequel Released

The series is set approximately 300 years before the Game of Thrones events

Fans of Game of Thrones have particularly been excited for the House of the Dragon, a well-anticipated sequel of the hit show. Well, we finally have some screens from the upcoming show. Principal photography of the show had already begun in April after images of the cast’s table reading were revealed.

 

Along with that, we also have leaked videos of the filming, which suggests that the production has also begun already. Hence, it is likely that the show will debut in the first quarter of 2022.

Based on the information that we currently have, the House of the Dragon show will feature Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen along with Emma D’Arcy, who will play the role of Rhaenyra Targaryen.

 

According to what we know, the events in the House of the Dragon are set approximately 300 years before the Game of Thrones events. Furthermore, the show makes most of its source material from the Fire & Blood, written by George R.R. Martin.

And since George R.R. Martin is on the team too, the show is likely to be a big hit. Though, the HOTD series will also feature other characters that are not a part of the Targaryen family.

 

The first look at the characters and their costumes will certainly help HBO in creating even greater hype for the House of the Dragon. Show. At the same time, it may give desperate fans some hope, especially after the not-so-popular final season of Game of Thrones.

In a way, the images from the House of the Dragon show give fans a great feeling of nostalgia, as they bear a stark resemblance to the Westeros. So, despite how fans felt about the ending of the original show, they are likely to return for another exciting journey.

Well, looks like this time, HBO is certain that the show will bring in millions of viewers throughout the world. After all, the franchise is pretty much established already, and George R.R. Martin’s presence gives fans some hope.
