James Corden was labelled by the owner of the New York City restaurant, Balthazar, Keith McNally as the ‘most abusive customer.’ The comedian tried to fix things with an apology.

The owner of Balthazar recently revealed that he had banned the TV talk show host from his establishment. He wrote, “James Corden is a Hugely gifted comedian, but a tiny Cretin of a man. And the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago. I don’t often 86 a customer, to today I 86’d Corden. It did not make me laugh.”

Then the 71-year-old detailed two experiences where Corden wasn’t impressed with the service at the restaurant. In first, he was apparently ‘extremely nasty’ after he found a hair in his meal. He also demanded to have free drinks.

In another, the British actor fumed after seeing some egg whites in the egg yolk omelette he had ordered. The restaurant made the meal again and sent it out with fries, not salad. After these incidents, McNally had enough grounds to ban him from the premises.

When Corden knew about the label, he tried to smooth things over and apologized. In a new post on Instagram, McNally wrote: “James Corden just called me and apologized profusely. Having f**ked up myself more than most people, I strongly believe in second chances. So, if James Corden lets me host his Late Late Show for 9 months, I’ll immediately rescind his ban from Balthazar. No, of course not. But….anyone magnanimous enough to apologize to a deadbeat layabout like me (and my staff) doesn’t deserve to be banned from anywhere. Especially Balthazar.” He said Corden is welcome back to his restaurant in the Big Apple whenever he wants.

Though Corden has fixed things here, this isn’t the first time he has revealed his ugly side. From behind the scenes during his tenure on The Late Late Show to other eateries, there have been several accounts of him being a git. Let’s see if that changes.
