It is not surprising that the richest man in the world, Jeff Bezos ordered a 417-foot-long superyacht? Now that Bezos has stepped down from his position as Amazon’s CEO, he has enough time and funds to work on new projects.

Currently, he has a net worth of around $185 billion (USD) that is roughly equivalent to AUD 237 Billion. Details of the superyacht have been kept very secret. It makes sense that in deals worth several hundred dollars, the NDAs are very strong too.

So, based on the Non-Disclosure Agreement, the superyacht remained quite a secret. However, considering the superyacht’s scale, it was difficult for it to stay in the shadows forever. Currently, all that we know is Jeff Bezos has ordered the largest yacht ever.

This yacht is under development in the Netherlands. According to the reports, this superyacht for Jeff Bezos is being built by Oceanco. The company has previously created the award-winning 350 feet long superyacht, the Black Pearl, a three-masted superyacht pictured above.

Currently, no official pictures of the superyacht have been released yet. Though, reports say that the superyacht has been in development for a few years already. Speculators say that the yacht might be like the Black Pearl but significantly large.

Not only this, but Jeff Bezos is also reportedly buying a support yacht for the superyacht. The support yacht will carry all his cars, other yachts, aircraft, and a personal submarine.

Well since Jeff Bezos has lots of millions to spare, it makes sense for him to be investing in such expensive assets. Now that he has given up his position as the CEO, he is seemingly looking forward to investing his time and money into other projects.

Just like Elon Musk, it looks like Jeff Bezos is also going to focus more on his space company, Blue Origin. Whether or not the inspiration has come from Musk is up for debate. But since Bezos has plenty of funds, time, and all other resources, the prospects for Blue Origin seem to be great.
