Based on a recent social media survey, LeBron James turned out to be the most hated and underrated player in the NBA. The basketball star has been the centre of attention ever since he entered the world of professional basketball in 2003.

Of course, the world of LeBron James is not all filled with gloom. He has a good share of supporters to appreciate his playstyle and personality. However, the number of people who hate him is no less.

All the social media hate and criticism is not new for LeBron James. Throughout his career, James has faced the same at different levels. However, all the hate and negativity peaked when he decided to become a part of the Miami Heat.

Now LeBron James has turned into the “villain” yet again. According to the recent news, LeBron James will be switching the No. 23 on his jersey to No.6, which is the same number that he wore with the Miami Heat during the 2021 to 2022 season.

On Wednesday, Chris Broussard, NBA analyst at FOX Sports pointed out the source of all the hate. According to him, the hate comes from the fact that LeBron seems to advocate for player empowerment and movement. This is, of course, a reference to his time with the Miami Heat.

Broussard stated, “He stands for player empowerment. When LeBron had the audacity to say, ‘I, as a player, can put together a team better than my front office,’ … and he did it, when most of the country was hating on him, that was polarizing. A lot of people don’t like that. He started this trend, which is now commonplace, of players putting their teams together.”

Regardless of all the hate and negativity, LeBron James is considered one of the top NBA players. However, many people say that LeBron remains underappreciated due to all the controversy and negativity that surrounds him.

In other news, conspiracy theories about the Mayweather vs Paul fight are also surfacing. After a full analysis of the fight, speculators claim that it was nothing but a legalized robbery.
