Lionel Messi just got into a 2-year contract with the Paris Saint-Germain. The deal might also extend to the third year, as that option is present. This was after the football start had to say goodbye to Barcelona due to the financial troubles of the club.

Regarding the 2-year contract, Lionel Messi stated, “I am excited to begin a new chapter of my career at Paris Saint-Germain.”

Lionel Messi believes that the club is in line with his ambitions. He specifically made heartfelt comments about the coaching staff in the new club and the squad. He further stated, “I am determined to help build something special for the club and the fans, and I am looking forward to stepping out onto the pitch at the Parc des Princes.”

The chairman at Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser Al-Khelaifi also added that he was delighted with the fact that Lionel Messi will now become a part of the club.

Not too long ago, Lionel Messi waved at the supporters of Paris Saint-Germain from the Parisian airport. The fans of the club are quite excited to see one of the top footballers of all time join their favorite club. There, Lionel Messi was seen wearing a t-shirt that read, “This is Paris.”

Even though the French club did not name Lionel Messi at that time, the official Twitter account did hint by stating that a “New Diamond” was on his way.

Without a doubt, Lionel Messi is one of the best footballers of the current generation, and probably of all time. His career at Barcelona has been long. The soccer star was associated with the club since childhood, where he first began playing during his school years.

This makes him the biggest name to arrive at Paris Saint-Germain in recent times. However, the decision to say goodbye to Barcelona was certainly not an easy one as the soccer star wept as he bid the club farewell.

In other news, the Stranger Things season 4 trailer is out already.
