Keeping the latest trend ongoing, Netflix has once again released the list of top 10 most-watched original films. Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead enters the list. The Midnight Sky, Enola Holmes, The Old Guard, and Project Power also made it to this list.

According to the data shared by Netflix, about 72 million households watched Zack Snyder’s zombie-heist flick. Released on May 21, Army of the Dead is also the 9th most-watched feature on Netflix. It got the top spot overall in more than 70 nations and was the top film in over 90 countries. The film was released in more than 600 theatres before Netflix released it.

For those who have not watched it yet, Army of the Dead follows the aftermath of a zombie outbreak. The story focuses on Las Vegas, where a group of mercenaries is planning to enter a quarantine zone to pull off a big heist.

Netflix is also thinking ahead. Even before seeing the success of the Army of the Dead, the streamer had also given its nod to a prequel of the film and an anime series. Zack Snyder will direct two episodes of the anime series.

It is also a fact that Netflix worked too hard to make the zombie-heist film a success. It made Army of the Dead a global event. The trailer was launched in an interactive Twitch Activation and challenged fans to crack a code that was hidden within CCTV footage that was surrounding the vault and the floor in the pic’s Bly Casino. The fans who cracked the codes were able to get VIP access to an interactive twitch Livestream. The Livestream also included a Q&A with Zack Snyder.
