With just 500 hundred units produced, it is surprising how the Bugatti Chiron has already released a number of special editions. Just recently, the announcement of yet another edition came to light.

The latest Bugatti Chiron limited edition release is named ‘Les Legendes du Ciel’. This name translates to the ‘Legends of the Sky’. After all, it pays respect to the racing legends from the 1900s.

This Bugatti Chiron special edition has only 20 units going into production. Each of these costs €2.88 million (A$4.66 million) including the tax.

Based on reports, these Bugatti Chiron models will go into production in early 2021. With several new design features, this new Bugatti Chiron special edition is truly a work of art.

The president of Bugatti, Stephen Winkelmann explained the idea behind these cars.

He mentioned that the relations between Aviation and Bugatti go back to 110 years. Many Bugatti racers such as Robert Benoist, Bartolomeo Constantini, and Albert Divo served the French Air Force.

Similarly, Ronald Garros was a famous French aviator who owned a Bugatti Type 18. He wanted to be fast on the roads just like he was in the air.

Stephen Winkelmann further said, “It is therefore almost an obligation for us today to pay tribute to the legends of that time and dedicate a special edition to them.”

The stunning interior of this exclusive Bugatti Chiron model feature Gaucho leather. This is the natural leather found inside the early 1900 aircraft.

Furthermore, these cars come in a color identical to the outer shade of the early 1900 aircraft.

For example, the body features a white stripe that runs through the center. And it also features the white, red, and blue colors (French flag) near the front.

The dashboard of the car also features a hand-sketched scene. This scene shows a Nieuport 17 aircraft and a Bugatti Type 13 racing together.

The black carbon fiber engine cover rests on top of the quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 , which produces out 1,500 PS (1,479 HP / 1,103 kW) and 1,600 Nm (1,180 lb-ft) of torque, enabling the Chiron Sport to reach an electronically limited top speed of 420 km/h (261 mph).

Since this Bugatti Chiron edition will have only 20 units in total. So, only a very few lucky people will be able to afford it and own it. However, these buyers may get their hands on the Bugatti Bolide (500 units), which is like the Chiron.
