Nike is taking its development in footwear even further, with the Nike Air Zoom Pulse. This shoe is specifically designed for doctors, health providers, nurses, and other professionals who are constantly on the run to support their patients. All in all, the Nike Zoom Pulse is a unique shoe that meets the challenges faced by medical workers in their field.

 

In order to collect insights from workers, the company first conducted tests at the OHSU Doernbecher hospital situated in Portland, Oregon. Based on these insights, the Nike Air Zoom Pulse features an easy off and on construction. At the same time, it also features a complete fitting with traction and cushioning systems. This allows the show to meet all the mental and physical hospital conditions.

Furthermore, the Nike Air Zoom Pulse also features a protective synthetic vamp coated with PU, and a laceless upper. At the same time, it also has an elastic strap that secures the heels, allowing one-handed and easy entry.

 

The branding on the Nike Air Zoom Pulse is also quite unique. It features an Asterix logo and swooshes that are printed. The Zoom air heel, at the same time, assists the midsole. On the other hand, the outsole carries a water-dispersive pattern. This traction pattern is specifically designed with spills in mind. Since health care providers often have to work in very tough and stressful environments, spills of liquid chemicals are quite common. The dispersive pattern prevents the spills from seeping into the shoe. At the same time, it also prevents slippage on-ground.

Aside from designing on select Nike kicks and Jordan Brand sneakers for the Doernbecher Freestyle 2019, this year’s special young patients also put their efforts in designing special colorways of the Air Zoom Pulse.

 

The six Doernbecher Freestyle 2019 takes on the Nike Air Zoom Pulse is set to release December 7 on nike.com. All profits from the sales of the collection will be donated to OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, while the first colorway of the Air Zoom Pulse is expected to arrive at Nike’s specific outlets and the online store sometime in December. Until then, Nike fans and medical providers will have to wait.
