Ozark Season 4 Trailer Shows a Betrayal Might be On the Horizon

The Ozark season 4 trailer shows the Byrdes once again trying to escape the Cartel

Season 4 of the popular Netflix series Ozark will be released in a few days. To keep things interesting, the streamer has released a trailer that shows The Cartel now traps the Byrdes, and they might have to spill blood to escape it.

From the season 4 trailer, it is evident that somebody in Marty’s family might betray him, and everyone is committing a crime. For those who haven’t watched the show, Ozark follows the Byrde family, who are now key figures in the Ozark community. They have laundered millions of dollars for Navarro Cartel, and in season 3, they became very entrenched in the dealings of Cartel boss Omar Navarro.

The first two seasons of Ozark didn’t get much attention, but the critics loved the third season, especially due to the stellar performance of Linney as Wendy. Season 3 also ended with a cliff-hanger as Navarro flew the family to Mexico and murdered Helen, his liaison in front of them.

The season 4 trailer has confirmed that the show will be more brutal than ever and will put Marty and Wendy in the thick of it as Omar will seek safety in the US. Ruth’s betrayal at the end of season 3 will also complicate things next season.

The season 4 trailer also hints that there will be a search for Ben. Wendy apparently led him to his death in Season 3, but his death was never shown onscreen, which led fans to think that he might not be dead after all. The season 4 trailer also shows that The Byrdes will be fighting for their lives, as usual, and the stakes are higher than ever as this is the show’s last season (divided into two parts).

The trailer and logline for season 4 also hint at a betrayal from family – “Marty and Wendy are rid of Helen and climb to the top of Navarro’s empire. They find another opportunity to get out of the Ozarks, but some past sins won’t stay buried, and the most dangerous threats come from blood.” The clip also hints that the betrayal might be from their son. The first part of Ozark season 4 will premiere on January 21.
