Interestingly, the auction will not be done by the famous auctioneer, Sotheby’s but a whisky auction website known as Whisky Auctioneer.

 

The largest private whisky collection auction will include selling 3,900 bottles that are also known as The Perfect Collection. They were amassed by the late Richard Gooding, a private collector who was also the former PepsiCo bottling magnate. The sale of the collection will take place next year, across two auctions.

A few weeks ago, Viet Nguyen, a Vietnamese businessman, won a Guinness World Record award for the most valuable whisky collection.

The largest private whisky collection auction is once again proving that the whisky industry is growing stronger with time. The demand for rare bottles keeps increasing with time and succeeds in generating headlines over and over again.
